Rowan University's college radio station, 89.7 WGLS FM, will be airing a new show called "League of the Extraordinary" this fall a half-hour show featuring people who have amazing stories to tell.

Hosted by Candace Kelley, co-chair of Rowan University's journalism department and a five-time Emmy-nominated writer and researcher, the show features interviews with people "who have made extraordinary journeys."

"Just when you think you are alone, you find that someone else has been on the road less traveled," said Kelley. "This show sheds light on those people and the valuable lessons they have learned."

The show debuts Sept. 2 at 5: 30 p.m.

The guests will be Karen Rodriguez, who will discuss how her journey to America from Nicaragua helped shape her life, and Cortney Bolden, who took a holistic approach to battling breast cancer and was successful.

The show will also be available as a podcast.
