Two Rowan University alumni won first place in radio enterprise reporting at the awards luncheon of the New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists on June 9 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Newark. Rob Lightfoot and Melissa Cassara produced Hidden Heroin: New Jersey's Dirty Deadly Secret for Rowan's Center for Addiction Studies. Lightfoot and Cassara, both of Marlton, earned bachelor's degrees in radio/television/film and their master's in public relations from Rowan. Lightfoot earned his degrees in 2000 and 2001; Cassara, hers in 1997 and 1998. They were 2005 inductees into the Rowan Radio Hall of Fame.
