GLASSBORO - South Jersey’s only educational FM radio station, WGLS-FM, has been named station of the month by “The Journal of College Radio.”
WGLS-FM is operated by a staff of 25 Glassboro State College students through the College’s Department of Educational Media.
Special interest programs aired weekly include a half hour Spanish language broadcast, a discussion program geared to social issues, a series on chamber music and local and international news.
WGLS-FM, 89.7 on the dial, broadcasts from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. weekdays and from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Key student personnel include Station Manager Rodney Huggan of Morris Plains, Program Director Timothy Tietze of Moorestown and Engineering Supervisor Bruce Selb of Laurel Springs.
Professional consultation is provided by Gregory Potter, assistant director of educational media.
